Get the full bottle on paperclay in a hands-on full day workshop from the expert Graham Hay. Easy techniques will be illustrated then demonstrated to you step by step. Then it will be your turn to have a go with Graham's support. Graham has a well deserved international reputation for information-packed but fun-filled workshops. This workshop will be no exception, with expert supervision and assistance.
Despite the similarities, paperclay radically overcomes many of the limitations of traditional clay. The paper fibres make the clay stronger when dry, the reverse to conventional clay. Paperclay can be dried faster with less cracking, accelerating drying times in some cases from days to hours. Furthermore, paperclay enables joining between pieces of dry paperclay and pieces of wet, plastic or dry paperclay!
Those are the known facts, but new ways that paperclay can be used in the studio and classroom are still emerging.
This workshop is suitable for everyone regardless of whether you have experienced any type of clay before. It is especially useful as a PD for teachers. Come and get your hands dirty and take home your creations as well as more clay to build with at home.
